What is a Dairy Herd Share Program?
Indiana law prohibits the direct sale of unpasteurized milk to the consumer, the only legal way to obtain raw milk is to own the cow. Cow sharing is a system that provides access to fresh raw milk for people who cannot care for a cow themselves. Purchasing a share entitles you to a percentage of what the herd produces. Shareholders are legitimate owners of the herd.
How do I purchase a Herd Share?
You can become an owner in the Fagan Family Farm herd of dairy cows by purchasing as many shares as your family wants. It’s a one-time purchase of $30 to buy 1 share and a one-time purchase of $15 to buy 1/2 a share. If at any time you choose to no longer own a share(s), we buy back the share(s).
After buying one or more cow shares, we will send you an invoice on the first of each month for our weekly boarding and service fee. This fee pays to feed, milk, and take care of your cow. Remember, we are selling the services, not the milk!

How much milk do I receive from a share?
1 share is $30
Gives you 1 gallon of milk every week.
1/2 share is $15
Gives you a 1/2 gallon of milk every week.
Where and When Do I Pick-up My Milk?
We will bottle your milk in new plastic jugs for you to pick-up from the locations listed below. You have the option of picking up your milk once a week, once a month or every other week. You will need to schedule a time with the Fagan Family to pick up your milk.

Greenfield & Irvington
Indys East & South Side
1 Share - $9 weekly service fee ½ Share - $5 weekly service fee
*Pick-up will be available every Monday. There is a delivery fee that is to be paid directly to Odessa Wallace. You can contact her for more details at 463-426-9879.
Middletown
Bradley Training Stables & BTS Meats 8094 US 36
1 Share - $9 weekly service fee ½ Share - $5 weekly service fee
*Pick-up will be at BTS Meats Farm Shop. There is a delivery fee that is to be paid directly to Jessica Bradley. You can contact her for more details at 765-748-3130. She comes to our farm every other Wednesday to pick up milk.
McCordsville
1 Share - $9 weekly service fee ½ Share - $5 weekly service fee
*You can call/text Katie Page at 317-349-6063. She picks up milk from our farm every other Wednesday. There is a delivery fee that you would pay directly to Katie.
Anderson & Pendleton
1 Share - $9 weekly service fee ½ Share - $5 weekly service fee
*Please call/text Brandy Austin at 317-730-6183 for more details about her pick-up location. There is a delivery fee that you will pay directly to Brandy. She picks up milk from our farm every Friday morning.
Knightstown
