Matt and Jamie and 6 children; Hannah, Andrew, Lydia, Isaac, David, and Caleb.
Along with spouses; Kenny, Kendall & Keisha. Grandchildren; Samuel and Eliza and more blessings on the way.
When we bought the farm…
after Matt’s grandparents milked cows here for over 40 years, we did not have the extra money to buy the 70 dairy cows and the milking equipment too.
So, we just kept one dairy cow for our own family to provide us with fresh milk. Friends kept coming to us and asking if they could buy milk from us. Unfortunately, with Indiana laws, we had to tell them no because it is illegal to sell raw milk. After more questioning from friends, we finally decided we should investigate this more. Was there a way for us to provide other families with farm fresh milk?
After much researching, we learned about herd-share programs, and with the help of Farm to Consumer, we were able to set up a legal way for families to enjoy raw milk through our dairy herd share program.
Raw milk is a real super food!
When you join our herd share program, you receive milk from grass-fed jersey cows that has not been pasteurized or homogenized. That means you are getting milk that not only tastes better, than what you can buy in the store, but it's also better for you. Raw milk is rich in natural vitamins, it is easier to digest, and it can help with allergies, skin conditions, and it boosts the immune system. Not only can we provide you with farm fresh milk, but we can help provide your family with quick, easy, great tasty, healthy meals. Filling your freezer with our beef will save you money and time. Our beef is of high quality, locally raised and more flavorful than beef purchased at the grocery store. There are so many meal options with beef and when you are in a hurry to feed your family, it takes little preparation to throw steaks on the grill, brown hamburger for tacos, or throw a roast in the crock-pot when you need to come home to a meal that is ready to eat.
We are passionate about selling herd shares for raw milk, and providing you with the best tasting beef because we love helping families and we enjoy providing others, like you, with local food. We would love to help your family too!
